Following on from the release of the well received banger ‘jo dada’, Jaye Moni returns with another scorching hot and trendy smash record aptly entitled ‘pepepe’. Pepepe features Nigerian Superstar Pepenazi who is responsible for hit records such as ‘illegal’ and most recently ‘fine’ The record was produced by one of Nigeria’s fastest rising producers Austyno who has produced for Ice Prince, Ikechukwu and Phyno to name a few.

According to Jaye, the word ‘pepepe’ is a slang word she created and means ‘extra hot’

On Pepepe Jaye Moni has created a sound that dancers, DJs and clubbers will love alike. When we recorded the song ‘it was just a bunch of people chilling, drinking and having fun and I think that vibes comes across in the track. Also nothing was pre written, the whole song is a freestyle so there is a very organic vibe to it. With Pepenazi and I trading verses and absolutely no singing, I feel like we brought something you’d normally find on a hiphop track to an afrobeats record and it’s very authentic’.
